1 – Quit Blaming Others
You need to stop blaming others for the way you feel, you are the one who controls your emotions and you’re giving up too much of your time and energy.
Start taking responsibility for your own life and
It I nobody’s fault but your own if your feeling trapped in life, you hold the key to your own happiness.
To be happy you need to shift the blame, accept things have happened, the past can not be changed, but make a conscious decision to accept this is a new start.
You can rebuild your life and start all over again today.
2- Quit Complaining
Stop complaining about the petty things that are draining your mental energy.
Daily I see women complaining and moaning about things in their own life, yet months later I see they are still complaining, about the same thing.
If you don’t like something then change it, if you’re not going to make an effort to resolve the situation making you so angry and depressed, then shut up and put up.
You get to choose what situations and people make you unhappy.
While of course there will always be situations you can not avoid, sadly not all people have the same morals as you, some will lie and cheat and hurt you, but you have the choice to allow them to remain in your life, or you can walk away.
You decide how you should be treated.
While anger and hurt are normal emotions, you have the power to allow them to eat you up inside or to learn from them and move on a stronger and wiser person.
Complaining about something or someone, will not change the outcome, but you can.
3 – Quit Negative Thinking
You need to be challenging those negative thoughts with some self-talk (talking to yourself).
Self-talk is the running commentary you do inside your head when the negative thoughts and impulses spring into action.
Self-Talk is a way for you to gain back the control you feel you are losing.
You are not your thoughts, ugly thoughts destroy your happiness, you must learn to recognize them and stop them in their tracks because you are not your thoughts.
If you want to be happy then you need to stop looking at the negatives and learn instead that positive thinking is the key to your happiness.
Learning how to be positive is difficult, but it will change your life.
4 – Quit Trying To Impress Others
This was the hardest thing for me to change but if you want to be happy you have to learn how to be happy with yourself first.
Stop trying to make people like you, do not change to please others people.
You have the power to make someone else feel good about themselves and that is the most powerful tool in your toolbox.
But you don’t have to pretend to be somebody you’re not.
The people who matter are the ones who accept you for you, warts and all.
It does not matter what others think of you, that is not your problem, that is theirs.
While friends, work colleagues, family and enemies may influence you, it is up to you to decide how to behave and what morals you want to install in your life, to be happy means to be free of others judgments.
Set your own expectations for yourself and live by them.
5 – Quit Living In The Past
The past is like using your rear-view mirror in the car, it’s good to glance back and know what’s there, but stare too long and you’ll miss what’s in front of you.
Living in the past destroys any chance to be happy, trust me.
Use your past as a foundation to take those bricks that have been thrown at you to build yourself into a stronger and wiser person.
Mistakes are lessons.
Regrets are pointless.
We can not change the past but we can choose not to allow it to ruin our future happiness.
To be happy means to accept the past can not be changed but it’s made us who we are today.
And we also have a choice: if we do not like what we have become, then we have the power to change.
The answer lies within.
